les miserables

just watched the 25 anniversary les mis concert on yt. i couldn't stop it for a second, good thing they cut off at the intermission so i could go and take a break also hahah. only watched it after the movie, and i must say now i appreciate the cinematography better, as well as the singing from the musical better haha. the movie was the musical filled in with real and complete settings, impressive acting (not so much the singing) and made it as close to how it was supposed to be.

valjean and javert from the musical were so impressive... and gavroche also played a very convincing role. eddie redmayne from the movie in particular was so good. his rendition of empty tables at empty chairs was way better than the Jonas brother guy. Jonas guy couldn't open his mouth and he sang so soft and all the notes were short and airy, it really bothered me. somehow none of the females really left a deep impression though.. at most probably, cosette from the musical? lea salonga was as usual, lea salonga standard. anne hathaway looked like an angel in the last scene,  she was so pretty!

in any case this makes me wanna go all the way to london to watch the real thing live! the atmosphere there must be unbelievable.
