樱花瓣

This was at Tongji University in Shanghai during spring a year ago.
There was a short stretch of road with sakura trees lined along both sides.
Each tree had wooden pieces scribbled with wishes tied on its branches.
Students were snapping photos.
The air was cool.
Excited chatters hummed along the road.
The sakura petals fell non-stop, even in the absence of wind.
I pulled my hood over my head and sat for a while.
Spring just felt, so good.
