daddy is a quiet man at home, but when he laughs, he laughs out loud. he's always ready to crack a joke, sending that occasional sms about a joke he heard, or a simple festive greeting. he's into politics and documentaries, especially those about animals or nature. he loves china and its history and culture. he's sometimes afraid of trying new things and doing things the unconventional way. he likes life as it is, living worry-free and in happiness. he likes to be at home, more than out. friendship means a lot to him - he keeps a good friend from his army days. he's more artistic than my mum and loves to sing. he has never been harsh on any of us. he is always a gentle and warm person.

mummy on the other hand is the tougher character. she's determined, resourceful and the decision maker at home. she is very hardworking. she always churns out the good food that we never really learnt to appreciate till we got older. she's very proud of her culinary skills. she is artistic too, but less so in the singing. she always had something for flowers. she always knows what's best - the best deals, the best offers, the best way to do things. sometimes, she's very sarcastic and naggy. she's looking forward to retirement life. she's more adventurous, preferring outdoors to indoors. she does the scolding. she's never selfish, always saving the best for us.
