Day 3 in Vietnam.
1 word: shagged.
2 words: very shagged.
3 words: super duper shagged.
4 words: shagged to the max.
everyday has been an endless stream of activities. super duper tired. coughing my lungs out as well, happily spreading the virus and disturbing my room mates. we walked. walked. walked. covered i think, maybe 30km the past 3 days. the traffic is CRAZY. absolutely crazy. there are no lanes, no lefts, no rights, no rules, no laws. driving there is like playing cards. make a wrong move and you're dead. motorbikes are the main mode of transport. just like new zealand and cows, perhaps vietnam and motorbikes should come together. weather's like singapore: humid, rainy, sunny, basically temperamental. like now, it's raining. air: dusty. thats where the mask i bought comes in handy. buses are surprisingly new and comfy. supermarket carries a fair variety of goods which are also found back at home. hostel's not too bad. fridge. yay! aircon. yay! thin bed. boo. six beds. yay! relatively clean toilet. yay! no blanket. boo. no table lamp. boo.
coffee. haven't tasted the authentic one. food's so far not too bad, except a few salty dishes. students, tour guides here are too friendly and hospitable. really went out of their way. gotta thank them a lot for bringing us around, babying over us. people really gotta appreciate this. teachers vanish too often. programme coord stays at sheraton and doesn't do his job well; FAIL.
so far so good. enjoying. having fun. just hope my lungs are still intact by the end of this, so will my vocal chords. just, really, tired. goodnight!
