thank you
it's been a week since i blogged, and i will be blogging again soon, because there will be nothing else to do at night. few hours back, we were still on stage at nanyang audi, performing my final dance, possibly.
i just watched the video of our dance on facebook, and this sudden sadness just came over me. we deserved more than what we got. it is not a choice made by us, but the mere thought of it disappoints me. after so many months of hard work, getting 14th simply was unfair (to us), unjustified, uncalled for. screw the judging.
back to this dance journey. we were crazily training in the last month prior to the performance. and i mean, crazily. dancing every single night, till 2am sometimes, is no mean feat. and so i'm really grateful, and proud, of all the dancers who graced the stage with me yesterday. many of these people were non dancers, who could eventually perform to a standard on stage. in the past week, our standard has improved by leaps and bounds, it's truly amazing and unbelievable. it could only be possible by everyone's efforts.
the 6 minutes passed really quickly. im happy to have done it well, although it was admittedly not to the best of my abilities. but im happy. we put up a good performance, one that we should not be ashamed of and have regrets about. im grateful to zhangyi and shuhui, who choreographed this wonderful dance. im grateful to fur and chiann, two of you who have made this whole dance journey more enjoyable and memorable. to the rest, para, irma, jamie, kailun, justin, abbas, sha, shona, fiona, liu chang, thank you for the effort put in. some of you, especially para and jamie, have given so much, it's hard to even express how grateful i am to be dancing with you all, knowing that we are all dancing for the same reason, and working towards the same goal.
we have really come a long way. all the way back to october last year. and it all ended yesterday. from now on, there's no more dance to look forward to, or to talk about. that was possibly my last stage too. although i believe i will continue dancing somehow, somewhere.
im itching for more...
