just did a blog search on njc malay dance. and i found sam's blog, that makes it 14 blog clicks by searching for 'njc malay dance'.
i read many many many blogs. each and every single blog i read, said NJC malay dance was really good. blogs of people from other schools as well as ppl from nj. From the combined dance practice in nj, someone said our movements were big and impactful and she could feel like moving with us. somebody from JJC, who performed after us, said we were really good. there was another blog which talked about the bloody comments from the judges and knew they were ridiculous as well. some were happy that they won us, i guess they weren't gloating. some were shocked that we got bronze, and they didn't believe it either.
but thanks to all these people, i'm really glad that we have support. It proves our worth. From a blog, it said Sembawang got GWH, and they only started practising in Feb. Us? we started back in october 2006, when SYF was in april 2007. Plus..let me tell you about the comments from chief judge.
1. Don't put on plastic smiles, girls must smile like they're shy and they can't show their teeth.
(yeah right. that deducts half the marks from 70/80+ schools and puts them in the silver category.)
2. Don't run on stage, it's like chasing chickens.
(im sorry, we don't like to stroll like we're there for a walk.)
3. Don't scream or shout, it scares the judges.
(*smiles sweetly* i'm sorry i scared you.rawr. i'm one friendly beast.)
4. Don't keep exiting in and out of stage. It breaks the flow of the dance.
(ohhhh so let's remove the curtains so it wouldnt appear like we're exiting in and out.)
and beforehand, they said they were judging on the dancers themselves, like how much they enjoy dancing blah. riiiiight. tell me if all those 4 points weren't in the dance, would it be a dance at all? so they want expressionless people smiling so small like they've got some muscle cramp in their lips and cant move them and draped in colourful cloth strolling around on stage with their mouths tightly shut afraid that their yellow teeth would show and hanging around even when they don't have steps to do so that they crowd the stage and occupy space since they can't exit,smile,run or shout? that's malay dance for you, Chief Judge.
nonetheless im proud of mds. i love mds!
but it's over. the week started on a high and ended rock bottom. PW results. I got a C. my group got a B. tell me what to feel. i can't think anymore after all these have happened. I can't process anything, honestly even though I've been out to study for the weekend,the moment I reach home, my mood goes all the way down. Im fine when I was with duying cat and fur these two days..but it's too much to take...
The coming week. I don't know if I can smile. Napfa. no motivation. even if i smile, it's cause i forgot about all these bad things in that moment. PW. it just makes me feel so bad. I feel useless. I feel like I can't do anything properly. I can't even do a simple bloody PW well. it's a C in a A level cert. it's the last thing i ever wanted. but i can't change it. It makes me feel so so so lousy. I'm so lousy. I can't do my CIP rep job well either. I can't do this, i can't do that. just so incapable. i've got so much school work to catch up on. I missed an entire week of lessons. i don't know...my portfolio is gonna suck, i have a C in my cert already. this is the best thing ever that has happened to me. the last thing i need is to have something else to make me feel even lousier. i don't know...just so weak. can't smile...
well...ive been on crunchyroll recently..watched videos by this singer called Shiina Ringo. Her songs are really cool. go check them out someday.

it's about her name Ringo which means apple.
Artist of the week: Big Bang,Shiina Ringo and Akanishi Jin
Big Bang is a korean hiphop band.. Akanishi Jin is a singer/actor from a group called KATTUN. he sings really well and he writes songs as well. he's really not bad for someone from Johnny's Ent.
